Hi everyone. We are planning to move to Tasmania soon. We visited in November last year and now heading back there from Perth in July. Looking at lots of areas but fancy Blackmans Bay, Montrose, Bellerive, Kettering and anywhere close to these. Am a psychiatric nurse so looking for work in the city. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Anne, I'm not familiar with Montrose but the other three places you mentioned I am certainly familiar with. Bellerive is on the eastern shore and is one of the best places to live in Hobart. It's very suburban and reasonably close to Hobart across the bridge. There is a year 11 and 12 college in Rosny which willbe handy if you have teenagers. Blackmans Bay is just south of Hobart and is also a good place to live, also suburban and a smidgen closer to Hobart than Bellerive. Princess Mary of Denmark went to school in Taroona, which is next door to Blackmans Bay. Kettering is a little town about 45 minutes south of Hobart in the "Channel" area. Great little place to live if you want to live in the "country". It just depends whether you want to live in the city or if you fancy a change to the country. Hope this helps! Hi everyone, We are moving to Hobart from Cairns and spent a week late March to research suburbs as well. Bellerive is nice and we are very fond of Lindisfarne after staying in a B&B. any thoughts on where we can find very reasonable temporary furnished accommodation till we buy?
