Hi Guys, After leaving Tassie in 1980 and living and working around AS for the last 30 years, its now time to look at moving back. We are currently looking at buying a business in Launceston and re-locating back there shortly. Still much to do... Secure the business, look for a rental house for a short time, sell or rent our house in Adelaide and take the big move back to Tassie.

Hi. We also live in Adelaide. And my current partner also has live ove here for the 30 plus years and she wants to. Move back to tassie. And myself I was born and bread Adelaide person. But when went for a holiday. I just fell in love with the place. So we are moving hopefully mid year. My partner has family over there so we can just put our caravan in there yard for awhile ..then we can look for a house to rent as there won't be so much of a rush for us...hey at least moving over there ..we look forward to a cleaner living and not much roadworks and othe crap things happening. In Adelaide. Be nice to lead a slower pace of life and able to grow your own fresh vegetables. Etc...hope to get a response Thanks.

Hi All, Myself, husband and 3 young kids are leaving the mainland behind and making the move north of Launceston - West Tamar in September. Keen to hear off anyone who knows the area, schools, childcare, jobs, community etc..... It's been 10 years in the planning and we're going to build - very exciting. Any tips/advice greatly received! Great work on your website Sarah, we've got friends in Hobart - will definitely look out for your market stall next time we visit them.

Hi, after wanting to move to Launceston for a long time, we are finally making the move in September. My husband has family in Longford, which is great, and our teenage son has decided to come after not enjoying studying at a Sydney uni. Would love to hear from others who have moved, how they have found the experience and if it has been worthwhile. We are planning to have all our worldly possessions shipped as well as moving one cranky cat. Has anyone done the drive and the Spirit of Tasmania trip with a cat?

Hi Cathy, Have you considered getting a pet transport company to transport your kitty? It may be less stressful for you and for kitty. Sarah www.movingtotasmania.com.au
