Hi, My husband and I are coming in about 8 weeks if all goes to plan for house auction here in brisbane. Fingers crossed... We also came here for only four days in Jan and were instantly in love with the lifestyle the fresh air and the people. We looked at some property from osterly in the north to dover in the south, and the last property called us. We went to have a look at a place in geeveston on 10 acres and it just told us to do it. So we put in an offer and the rest is history. We have altho been having trouble selling our house here in bris, we been on the market for approx 6 weeks and nothing. We are now giong to auction and hope we will be in our dream home by the beginning of june. We are starting to dought our decisions too but our hearts are already there. Wish us luck mary rosex

I'm so excited. We just made the decision to move there too. Either mid year or end of year depending on whether we rent or buy.

So many of us moving! Well, our house settled on Monday, container has departed and we fly out 2 weeks today! Luckily we have a rental lined up in Huonville - still madly looking at properties up and down the Huon area, including Geeveston! We never did sort out the container storage insurance so we have decided just to unload everything into the rental, but keep lots of stuff in boxes, and just deal with another move when it happens. Now we just need to find some removalists near Huonville to help unpack the container. It was pretty chookers. We ended up bringing pretty much everything, as from perth container was the cheapest option, so was no point having it half empty. Getting very close now... helen

Getting very close for you, Helen - so exciting! Bet you're glad to be leaving the humidity.... Which container company did you use in Perth?

Well our house finally sold so we are now making the arrangments for our Tassie move. Does anyone recommend any particular removalists or do most people pack their own shipping container and to it that way?

Hi. The best way is to pack your own container then you know that your stuff is safe. And nothing goes missing We are moving soon to tassie and the people that we will hire a container from is a place called Anglian container service..they can ship the container any where in Australia. And the cost is reasonable. They are located at Bathurst. NSW... There phone number is 1300 296 040. And ask for Edd as he is the owner. And can advise you on what size container that you might need. There web site address is. www.angliacontainers.com.au. Hope this helps. ...cheers.....
